Trim Levels (Exterior)

The 2023 Niro EV has a sleek upper grille, a large lower grille, and unique angular headlights. There's a sculpted hood with Kia lettering near the front, and the sculpted sides have black accents near the front wheels. You can choose Wind or Wave trim levels. Standard features include roof rails, a spoiler, 17-inch wheels, a chrome skid plate, all-season tires, and privacy glass. You'll also get a smart power tailgate.

A power sunroof is also available, and optional exterior colors include Snow White Pearl, Steel Gray, Graphite Gray, Aurora Black Pearl, Fire Orange Metallic, Runaway Red, Mineral Blue, and Cityscape Green.

Engine (Power)

From an available heat pump that can help in cooler weather to ample power available, the 2023 Kia Niro EV delivers plenty of power and premium experience on the road. The electric engine gives 201 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a one-speed automatic transmission.

Performance

The Niro EV comes with front-wheel drive, an independent suspension, and electronic power steering. Its maximum range is 253 miles, and it can reach 60 mph in just 7.1 seconds. A charging indicator light comes on when the vehicle is connected and charging. The Niro EV gets 113 MPGe combined.

The charging port works with AC and DC fast charging outlets, and it has a 120-volt cable. A 240-volt public charging cable is also compatible. With a 100-kilowatt DC fast charger, adding 100 miles of driving range only takes about half an hour.

Interior

This SUV has ample cargo room with the back seats folded down, a 10.25-inch driver instrument panel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, navigation, Android Auto, voice recognition, Apple CarPlay, and radio, phone, and cruise controls on the steering wheel. You'll also get a six-speaker audio system, five USB ports, a 12-volt power outlet, wireless charging, push-button start, remote start, and dual-zone climate control with vents for the rear seats. Ambient lighting, a 10-way power driver's seat with lumbar settings, and heated front seats are standard as well.

You can also add a seven-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a HomeLink garage door opener, memory settings for the driver's seat, sport pedals, and a 10-way power front passenger seat with lumbar settings. Cooled front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel are also available.

Safety Features

The 2023 Niro EV comes with cyclist and pedestrian detection, blind spot collision warning, forward collision avoidance, and rear cross-traffic alert. You'll also get lane-keeping assistance, braking assistance, hill start assistance, traction control, driver attention warning, and stability control. The advanced front airbags work at different speeds for protection in a variety of situations.
