The 2025 Kia Carnival offers 5 distinct trims: LX, LXS, EX, SX, and SX Prestige. The LXS includes 17-inch alloy wheels and power sliding doors. The EX upgrades to 19-inch machine-finished alloy wheels and adds a smart power liftgate. The SX features 19-inch alloy wheels and LED Fog Lights. The range-topping SX Prestige comes with 19-inch gloss black alloy wheels, LED Projector Headlights, and LED Tail Lights.

Engine (Power)

A 3.5L V6 engine powers all Carnival trims, delivering 287 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine pairs with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive configuration. Every trim includes Eco Mode as well. A new hybrid powertrain option is available, the Carnival Hybrid, if you want a hybrid version of this spacious vehicle.

Performance

The V6-powered Carnival impresses with its towing skills. All trims can tow up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped. You can have peace of mind in various driving conditions as well with features like Hill Start Assist Control and Downhill Brake Control that come standard across the trim lineup. There is also Electronic Stability Control and a Vehicle Stability Management feature.

Interior

The Carnival cabin offers a great cargo capacity measuring 40.2 cubic feet behind the third row, expanding to 145.1 cubic feet maximum. LX trim has standard 7-passenger seating, while the LXS, EX, SX, and SX Prestige come standard with 8-passenger seating. Though the SX Prestige is available in a 7-passenger configuration. The Carnival has a 12.3-inch touchscreen with navigation, an available 12.3-inch curved instrument display, and an available 11-inch Head-Up Display.

Safety Features

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist comes standard on all Carnival trims. Each Carnival trim also has Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Departure Warning. Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist comes on all trims as well, and the SX and SX Prestige also incorporate a Blind-Spot View Monitor. On the SX and SX Prestige, you also get a Surround View Monitor.
