Trim Levels (Exterior)

The 2025 Kia Soul is available in four trims: LX, S, GT-Line, and EX. The LX trim starts with 16-inch steel wheels with covers and halogen headlights. The S trim upgrades to 16-inch alloy wheels. The GT-Line elevates the Soul's appearance with a sport-inspired body kit. It also includes 18-inch GT-Line alloy wheels, LED headlights, and available LED fog lights. The EX trim offers available 18-inch Sport wheels and LED lighting while adding a power sunroof. The EX Soulmate Special Edition builds on the EX trim with exclusive features, including a two-tone roof option, sleek body cladding along the rockers and lower front fascia, and its own exclusive design for the 18-inch alloy wheels.

Engine (Power)

All 2025 Soul models are powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 147 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 132 pound-feet of torque at 4,500 rpm. The intelligent variable transmission provides smooth power delivery and optimal fuel efficiency. The Drive Mode Select system offers Normal, Sport, and Smart modes, allowing drivers to adjust the vehicle's performance characteristics. Sport mode enhances throttle response and steering feel, while Smart mode automatically adjusts to driving patterns. The front-engine, front-wheel-drive configuration maximizes interior space while providing confident handling in urban environments.

Performance

The Soul accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 8.0 seconds. Fuel economy ratings of 27 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 30 mpg combined make it an efficient daily driver. The MacPherson strut front suspension paired with a coupled torsion beam axle rear suspension delivers a balanced combination of comfort and handling. The motor-driven power steering system with selectable modes allows drivers to customize steering feel based on driving conditions.

Interior

The LX trim features an 8-inch touchscreen display and six-speaker audio system, while higher trims upgrade to a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation. Seating materials progress from cloth in the LX and S to SynTex synthetic leather in the GT-Line and EX. The EX adds heated front seats. Every Soul offers 62.1 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded, accommodating large items and adventure gear. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity comes standard across all trims. The EX Soulmate Special Edition features an exclusive umber-colored interior combining SynTex and cloth materials.

Safety Features

Forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection monitors the road ahead and can automatically apply brakes to help prevent accidents. Lane-keep assist and lane following assist work together to maintain proper lane positioning. A driver attention warning system monitors driving patterns and alerts when it detects signs of driver fatigue. The S, GT-Line, and EX trims add blind-spot collision warning and rear cross-traffic collision warning systems to enhance awareness of surrounding vehicles. Smart cruise control, available on the GT-Line and EX trims, maintains a preset distance from vehicles ahead. High-beam assist automatically adjusts headlight intensity based on oncoming traffic conditions.
